Aligning Businesses with the Global Goals
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests. To achieve such ambition, businesses play critical roles. Business influence the decisions made by consumers, governments, international organisations; businesses can take responsibility of their supply chain; businesses could support vulnearble communitie; businesses could help to build more sustainable cities – is your business ready to join this fight?
One Certification
Make your impact visible
On being certified in its designated field, a corporation will be recognized by others such as government agencies and its clients for its professional achievements in sustainable development.
The establishment of a standard of professional competency enhances a corporation’s reputation and competitiveness.
The pursuit of such certification is highly recommended as evidence of a corporation’s commitment to Sustainable Development Planning.
Corporate Certification by WISDP includes
- CSDC – Certified Sustainable Development Corporation
- RSDC – Recognised Sustainable Development Corporation
Businesses from any industry are welcomed to apply for the certification. While the two types of certification are both a process to recognize a corporation’s professionalism in the field of sustainable development planning, they are suitable for businesses at different stages of implementing their sustainability actions.
